Job Description

Position Summary

This position primarily requires working daily with lines to maintain tank specifications through chemical analysis and visual part inspection. This is done by maintaining system chemical balance, pH levels, metals content and chromate levels through the addition of chemicals as needed.

Compensation

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $19.00 to $24.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains chemical and metals levels in tanks on both lines
  • Maintains zinc ball level, chloride levels, acid content, britener, and carrier levels in lines through both analytical testing and by reviewing parts coming out of the lines
  • Changes filters on rack and barrel lines and schedules tank dump schedule
  • Maintains records of adds and dumps to correctly cost chemical usage
  • Maintains calibration of analytical test equipment
  • Notifies supervisor and appropriate people of any concerns or malfunctions
  • Maintains chemical costs through correct additions
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and/or preference for an Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • One year of previous manufacturing experience.
  • Availability to work weekends is a must.
  • A combination of education and experience
