Racker/Unracking/Packing TX

Location: Corsicana, TX

Summary

This position is responsible for racking/unracking/packing various customer materials (without any restrictions), inspecting the customer’s order for finish/packing quality, and packaging the material according to specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle customer material according to assigned position and direction
  • Rack the metal parts onto the work bars according to directions
  • Unrack the metal parts from the work bars
  • Package the metal parts back into the customer’s original container, or by other directions as specified by the customer
  • Count and inspect the metal parts for their proper quantities and for their finish quality, and notify supervisor of any discrepancies or problems
  • Move parts from staging area to work bar area to shipping area
  • Provide the proper shipping documents for each bundle of finished material
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

No computer skills are necessary for this position.
